Are gaps, discoloration or cracks ruining your smile? If so, porcelain veneers can be applied to the surface of your teeth to give your smile that missing gleam. Dental veneers can remedy stains, cracks, chips, gaps, worn teeth, misalignment and improper size. Made up of thin layers of porcelain, veneers are designed to cover the front of the teeth and can eliminate a variety of unwanted cosmetic dental problems while giving you a natural-looking smile We will consult and work with you to find out what your main concerns are and provide you with the smile you desire for the best results. We outline your goals and develop a customized plan to meet your specific needs. We will then provide you with a prototype of newly designed teeth on the same day as your preparation appointment. While you adjust to your new smile, our artistic dental ceramicist will design your final porcelain veneers. Once they are completed, we will fuse the porcelain veneers to the front of your teeth, also known as bonding, and place your permanent veneers. You will visit us for a post-operative check-up to ensure you are completely satisfied with your new smile.
Damaged or worn-down tooth? A dental crown can fix that, while restoring aesthetics in the process. Crowns are often used with dental implants to restore the beauty of your teeth. Dental crowns usually take two appointments in which we create the caps that are shaped like your actual teeth and then placed over top. First, we will prep your mouth for the crown with a temporary. We will first check the area of where the crown is needed, verify a few X-rays to assess whether a root canal is needed before the crown is placed and then file down the tooth receiving it to make room in your mouth. Next, we make an impression of the teeth around where the crown will be placed to ensure that your new crown will not interfere with your bite and we will place the temporary crown to help your mouth and bite get used to the new tooth while the real one is being crafted. On your second visit, we will remove the temporary crown and place the permanent porcelain crown after we ensure that it will fit perfectly. Once the permanent crown is placed, you can enjoy your new smile!
Ideally, implants are the best option for replacing missing teeth. A titanium post fuses with the jawbone to form a replacement tooth root. The tooth implant is then topped with a dental crown to restore your smile to be natural-looking and stable to break down any food. It also helps prevent gum disease and bone loss around the new implant. Implant dentistry has a high success rate and is one of the best options for rebuilding your smile. However, if you are not a candidate for implant dentistry, we can provide you with other options for replacing missing teeth. In addition to tooth implant crowns, two alternative tooth replacement solutions are dental bridges and removable appliances.
